Three Ways to Wear Statement Trousers - Day to Night
I’m a person who tends to buy the simplest pairs of trousers in either blue or black. Truth is when I’ve found something I like, I tend to stick with it. As someone who is always on the go and out and about, it’s super important to me that my wardrobe is multifunctional and that I can get the most wear out of every single clothing item I own or plan to buy.
Maybe that’s the reason I tend to avoid statement trousers.
Now don’t get me wrong, I think they look amazing and when styled well they look really cool. When I see someone in a nice pair of statement trousers, I applaud them in my head. Because honestly, I think they are quite hard to pull off effortlessly.
But recently, I’ve spiralled down a rabbit hole of interesting trousers and I’m pretty convinced that I want a pair of my own in my wardrobe. Before purchasing, however, I need to be sure that I will wear them more than once and the best way, I’ve found, to do this, is to double-check that you can create more than three outfits for three different occasions with said clothing item, which is what inspired today’s post.
The statement trousers that have caught my eye, are - surprise, surprise - the beautiful trousers from LIMÉ in Leopard print, which to be fair have gone viral and maybe I have been slightly influenced, but I need to make sure that these will work for me so that I can justify them not being an impulse purchase.
Of course you can use these outfit ideas as inspiration and try them out with other statement trousers or skirts, for that matter.
LOOK 1 - MORNING
Maybe you’re running some errands, or maybe you’re just popping into the bakery for a coffee and pastry, whatever it is, casual and cosy is the vibe.
